What you need to know about auto body repairs

What is auto body repair?

Automobile body repairs consist of sanding, heating, filling, and blowing body pieces and panels to restore the shape and integrity of the plastic or metal. At times components may be replaced if there is extensive damage. Removal of rust, frame pulling, and other techniques may also be used to achieve the original condition.

What do I do if my paint or clear-coat is peeling?

If we performed the work on your vehicle, please contact us immediately so we can have your vehicle looked at and the work redone so the issue is resolved.

My insurance company wants me to use their own body shop...

You have every right to choose where you want to take your vehicle for repairs. The insurance company will try to take it to their shop for cheaper costs to them, however YOU are paying for YOUR insurance. So you have every right to tell them you want it done at the shop of your choice, in this case, L.A. AutoBody.

Do I have to pay a deductible?

If you are going thorugh insurance and your policy has an at-fault deductible, you are required to pay it if you are at fault. If you are not at fault, the insurance company will waive your deductible and you pay nothing.

How long will my vehicle's repairs take?

Depending on the extent of the damage, repairs can take anywhere from 1 day for minor damages, to approximately 1 or 2 weeks for major damages.

What types of payments do you take?

When it comes to payment, we are extremely flexible. We accept cash, interac, credit card, and in some cases cheques. If you are going through insurance then your insurance company will take care of the payment for you. In certain cases, we do offer payment plans, depending on the agreement.
